  Like Water on Rock
Feb. 22 - Apr. 5, 2009
American Jewish University
Los Angeles, CA

This spring I'm taking part in Like Water on Rock at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles. The exhibit is inspired by the Talmud story of Rabbi Akiva, who began his Jewish studies at age 40, and whose spiritual journey is likened to a continuous stream of water that eventually erodes hard rock. Work featured in the show explores the theme of change and its persistence over time.

New Painting + Collage

After a long hiatus from painting, I'm getting my hands dirty again. My most recent work combines charcoal texture rubbings, language, and iconography into whimsical tactile arrangements. (Slide show under construction - coming soon.)

The Favorite Chicago Sounds program (which I co-produce) provided an ambient soundtrack for The Exquisite City, City of Cardboard, a miniature cityscape displayed at the Chicago Tourism Center.
