Café Finjan is a biannual series of interfaith arts exchanges, begun in 2004 by the
Jewish Council on Urban Affairs as part of its Jewish-Muslim
Community-Building Initiative.
The first event of 2009 showcased the work of musicians, spoken-word and visual artists (myself included), and filmmakers in an intimate gallery setting.

 Like Water on Rock

This spring I'm taking part in Like Water on Rock at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles. The exhibit is inspired by the Talmud story of Rabbi Akiva, who began his Jewish studies at age 40, and whose spiritual journey is likened to a
continuous stream of water that eventually erodes hard rock. Work featured in the show explores the theme of change and its persistence over time.
